Prairie State Bank & Trust donates former St. David Branch
WATER & SEWER COMMISSION GETS NEW OFFICE?
The Dunfermline/St. David Water & Sewer Commission now has a new place to call home, compliments of Prairie State Bank & Trust. The bank has donated the building that formerly housed its facility at Main & Railroad Street in St. David to the Commission.
“We’re very happy to do this for the Commission and for the community. ” said Prairie State Bank & Trust Regional President Mike Battefeld. “This gift allows us to continue serving the both the Commission and its patrons in the villages of Dunfermline and St. David.”
According to Commission Chairman Jim Maxwell, the building will be occupied as an office and a place for the Commission to hold regular meetings. Customers will be able to utilize the secure night depository for payment of water and sewer bills if they choose to. Maxwell went on to express the Commission’s appreciation of the bank’s generosity. “We’ve needed a facility like this for a long time but just were financially unable to make it happen on our own. On behalf of the other Commission members and the citizens we serve, a sincere thank you to Prairie State Bank & Trust.”
Making the presentation of the deed to Mr. Maxwell are Carla Beyers, Lewistown Branch Manager, Regional President Mike Battefeld and Prairie State Bank & Trust Facilities Manager Amy Raftis.
